Are pigs good pets?

I don’t think I’ll ever give anymore thought to the idea of raising a pig. My friend Jill got a little pot-bellied pig from her boyfriend last Christmas and it was so cute!! I couldn’t believe just how cute a pig could be as I’d never been around pigs or around any kind of farm animals, for that matter. Anyway, Jill fussed over that little pig like it was a child. She even cancelled our lunch and dinner dates just to make sure the pig’s feeding schedule wasn’t disturbed. She put it into a harness and started walking it around the neighborhood and everyone just thought it was adorable! That little pig even made noises when she was happy and something like a scream when she was upset! Jill started to dress her up but she outgrew her clothes so quickly, she finally quit doing that. But the reason I don’t think I’ll ever get about to raising a pig is because they’re so time consuming. Jill was so involved in her pig, she ended up breaking up with the boyfriend that gave it to her as a Christmas gift!
