Another extremely successful British TV stage hypnotist I’ve had the privilege to learn from (no names mentioned), had another method for doing this. As he was hypnotising his volunteers, he would imagine each of them falling unconscious in front of him. Before he approached each person to carry out the falling backwards induction, or whatever part of the process he was involved in, he would imagine the volunteer falling completely under his control, and drifting into the world of hypnosis. As a result, he held so much presence on stage that the feeling could be felt across the whole theatre, it was electric, in a calming kind of way.
