There Used to be Few Options
There was a time when there were only a few options for a person looking for someone to date outside their immediate circle of acquaintances. They could rely on a friend to set them up on a date, which could be uncomfortable and often resulted in disaster. Alternatively, they could rely on a few lines in the newspaper. There was a stigma against that, however, and it was unlikely that a person would be able to find their soul mate. Today, however, there are Internet Personals. These can include not only text, but photos, a person’s own voice, and even videos and the opportunity to talk to your prospective date.
